A member of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu accused of sexual assault

The national investigation Service of the canadian armed Forces has laid a charge of sexual assault against one of its military, in relation to an event that took place in December 2016, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
“The charges relate to an incident involving an instructor and a trainee of the School of leadership and recruits of the canadian Forces located in Saint-Jean. The incident allegedly took place in December 2016 in a restaurant in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu”, made it known the canadian Forces in a press release.
The accused is the caporal-chef Pierre Desrosiers, a member of the staff of the School of leadership and recruits of the canadian Forces.
“These charges testify to the sustained efforts and determination of the canadian Forces military Police in order to eliminate the sexual behaviour may be harmful and inappropriate in the canadian armed Forces. Such behavior is incompatible with the values and ethics of the institution, and we will continue to bring to justice those responsible for these sexual offences criminal”, said lieutenant-colonel Kevin Cadman.
The case now follows its course in accordance with the system of military justice and could be the subject of a court martial on a date and at a place yet to be determined.
