DRUMMONDVILLE | A psycho-educator, who asked of the patients in depression to replace the medication by hypnosis and homeopathic products has been canceled temporarily.

In addition to being a psycho-educator in Drummondville, Lyne Larocque is also called hypnotherapist and naturopath. Between February 2014 and march 2016, it has been proposed to at least four of her patients suffering from depression stop taking their medications and to go instead to the hypnosis or the natural products.

Following an anonymous call, the Ordre des psychoéducateurs sent an investigator under cover.

Ms. Larocque has suggested a “therapy of the depths” consisting of five sessions of hypnosis before embarking on his medication. It was also suggested to buy products of ” shungite “, which would have the property to neutralize the wi-fi waves and electromagnetic.

    Fine

The officer noted that Ms. Larocque did not have enough information with her patients to build a plan of intervention, they are informed adequately and that it was reporting almost nothing in the folders.

The Order struck Mrs Larocque for six months and forced to pay a $ 2500 fine.

Lyne Larocque believes that the charges are attributable to a difference in perception. For her, the hypnotherapy and the stones of “shungite” are related to the psychoeducation. She would have preferred that the Order communicates with it directly, rather than send an investigator.

“Before they get to me with it, I couldn’t imagine that I reproach these acts. Now, I understand, they perceive things differently. They should guide us rather than to interpret and to ensnare us, ” she said.
