A young victim of bullying selected for an international tournament of soccer

    QUEBEC city | A young primary school pupil of Quebec has been selected to participate in the Copa Santa, an international tournament bringing together 197 teams divided into eleven categories and from 21 countries which will be held in Barcelona in march 2018.

    Alessandro Martinez-Hébert can be proud of him especially after what he has lived through in recent years. The boy has been bullied repeatedly since his entrance to the school, in kindergarten.

    Alessandro came frequently to the house with bruises or even more serious injuries, not to mention the insults he shouted, his hellions.

    His mother decided to change schools for the school year 2017-2018. “I have another child. More calm, more serene, it works better, he is smiling”, she enumerated in an interview with TVA News on Wednesday.

    Now, this is the dream of becoming a champion soccer anime Alessandro. This last is the only player from Quebec who will participate in this competition in Spain.

    In Canada, one in three young people is a victim of bullying. According to specialists, the school staff often lack the tools to work with victims and bullies.
