GASPÉ | Although Jean-François Lisée, last September, in Saint-Eustache, has shown itself willing to return to the caucus présessionnel of the Parti québécois, Gaétan Lelièvre will continue to sit as an independent mp in the national Assembly until the end of its mandate.

“I announce that I will be independent until the end of the current mandate. I would like to thank Jean-François Lisée of the possibility of re-entering the caucus. The level of trust required was revenue,” said the independent mp in a press conference in Gaspé, on Friday morning.

In his eyes, this is the best way according to his priorities, his family, his health, and of the electors of the electoral district of Gaspé and the Gaspé region.

“I leave with no hard feelings, nor vis-à-vis Jean-François Lisée, nor vis-à-vis my colleagues in the caucus. These people have done the utmost to weather the storm as best as possible,” said the mp, referring to the revelations of the Journal last may about the favors that Gaétan Lelièvre had accepted the firm Rock.
