Norway first in the world to get rid of FM radio

Norway was the first country in the world, which chose digital broadcasting and FM broadcasting. A sensational news was published by local newspaper the Local.

About three days ago digital broadcasting in Norway has replaced its predecessor, the FM, which finally ousted from the Northern regions of the state and of the Svalbard archipelago located in the Arctic, reports VistaNews.

The reason for this transition is the intention of the Norwegian authorities to increase the signal level and its quality, and provide local residents with a wide range of channels targeted at a different audience.
