MONTREAL – A man has been assaulted at his home, with the butt of a gun, later Friday, in the borough of Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension, Montreal. A debt of money may be the cause of the incident.
The attack took place at around 22 h in a residence located on 55th street, near the boulevard Pie-IX.
According to initial information, four people were allegedly forced the entrance of the housing before you take it to the victim.
One of the suspects pointed a firearm toward the man, 38-year-old before hitting him in the head with the butt of the weapon, stating that they were there for a debt of money.
The suspects, who were wearing balaclavas during the attack, left the scene, without anything to steal, before the police arrived.
The victim, who is known to police, was transported to a hospital for minor injuries to the head.
An investigation has been opened by the police Department of the City of Montreal.
Saturday morning, no arrests had yet been made.
