MONTREAL – The restaurant, Teddy’s Deli & Bar in Montreal has been the prey of the flames, in the night from Saturday to Sunday.
The fire was reported around 1: 50 p.m., in the building located on Sherbrooke street, in the borough of Rivière-des-Prairies-Pointe-aux-Trembles.
According to preliminary information, the fire would have originated inside the trade, in the kitchen. The fire spread throughout the building.
The intervention, which lasted more than three hours has required the intervention of close to 75 firefighters to douse the blaze.
The restaurant sustained significant damage, estimated at approximately $ 700,000.
No one was inside.
An investigation was opened to determine the cause of the loss. The thesis of an arson is not ruled out, just like an electrical problem.
