“For all the people who have known and appreciated, the most beautiful consolation for us would be that you can share with us your memories of him. We will learn more about the exceptional man that he was. It will be marked, as a teacher, hundreds of lives,” said Mr. Bérubé in his publication.
Many internet users have expressed condolences and sympathies, including the liberal mna Robert Poëti: “Losing a family member is a painful ordeal. All my thoughts are with your family, and your loved ones as well as with you and I offer you my condolences”.
Suffering from vascular dementia, Yves-Alban Bérubé lived in the shelter for long-term care Matane for 2014.
In October 2016, the member for Matane-Matapédia had published its page on Facebook with the text “The last remains of my father”, which is widely shared, where he talked of the disease and, above all, the working conditions difficult for health care providers.
“I want to sincerely thank all the people who have cared for our father in 2014”, pointed out Pascal Bérubé Sunday.
The funeral of Yves-Alban are to be celebrated between Christmas and new Year’s day, a date which remains to be determined.
