A man’s life is threatened following a collision that occurred Monday in Sainte-Rose-de-Watford, in the region of the Etchemins, in Chaudière-Appalaches.

According to the Sûreté du Québec, a driver would have struck a sexagenarian who was standing near a truck on the edge of the path. The maneuvers were in progress in order to hoist the heavy machinery on the float in question. Ignoring for the moment if the victim is a pedestrian or a worker.

The accident happened around 16: 30, Monday, near the civic address 104, on the road 204.

The road was closed in both directions and a detour is required in the sector.

In the early evening, investigators were still on the scene.
