Who will inherit the property left by Johnny Hallyday after his death ? The patriarch at the head of a blended family has, without doubt, left a will. Its application is nevertheless complex, taking account of the heirs and property scattered across the world.
Johnny Hallyday died in the night of 5 to 6 December. The rocker leaves his wife Laeticia, their two eldest children David and Laura, and his latest Jade and Joy, in a deep sadness. Going through the grieving process, the family will have yet to tackle the reputedly difficult task of sharing the inheritance. If the relationships were complex between Laeticia and the first two children of the singer, David and Laura, they are now quieted – which does not necessarily guarantee that the application will be easier.
As explained in The Point, Johnny Hallyday had little liquidity at the time of his death. With his residences in Marnes-la-Coquette, Los Angeles, Saint-Barth, however, he had formed a real estate property result – estimated at between 40 and 50 million euros, according to the weekly. The Taulier being a u.s. resident, his will would have been drafted according to the anglo-saxon law (to be more flexible than French law when it comes to succession), believes the newspaper.
The share of the inheritance would, therefore, according to this precious document – as it was written. Renaud Belnet, his tax lawyer during the years of 2000, no doubt about it : “Contrary to what some may believe, Johnny was someone very organized, very meticulous. He loved that his accounts are in order, and I see it wrong from without having everything set in advance “, he explained to the Point. According to him, the sharing of the legacy promises in spite of everything despite complex : “The folder is not simple : a blended family, heirs to the statutes of different tax, goods strewn everywhere, an international law and an international tax… decisions of the singer will certainly be subjected to the control of tax specialists of private law. “
