France Gall & Véronique Sanson, rival : why the two singers aren’t speaking ? – Gala
Véronique Sanson
Michel Berger has been in a relationship with Véronique Sanson, and then with France Gall, with whom he had two children. The two stars of the French pop were blurred because of the rivalry related to their ex-boyfriend, who died in 1992.
Two of the stars of the songs in French, coming from the same generation, the comparison between the two singers doesn’t stop there : they both have shared the life of Michel Berger. Véronique Sanson has loved him before leaving the next day, saying that she was going to buy cigarettes never to return. The lyricist is then fell in love with France Gall, whom he married in 1976 and gave him two children. He died suddenly in 1992 of a heart attack.
Despite their commonalities, the two stars have no more contact. They are just blurred because of their respective relationship with Michel Berger. After their break, Véronique Sanson has argued that she continued to communicate with his ex by songs interposed, and that his new relationship was a “love substitute”, explained France Gall to the biographer of the writer Yves Bigot.
In 2012, the interpreter of Love was confirmed at the micro Europe 1 : “We haven’t kept in contact, even if it was very close at a given time. But, for my part in any case, this is not because I don’t want to ! One has to be afraid unconsciously all of the two that we refiche Michel Berger in the legs.” For it, the media would have soured their relationship : “It has distorted our about to pull heart’s content ! I said to myself : ‘But why she is saying this stuff about me’ and she said she was probably the same thing.”
