Before landing as a political reporter for Konbini News, Hugo Clément worked with Yann Barthes, first in The Petit Journal on Canal + and then in the show Daily broadcast on TMC. And if at the antenna, the team seems to be united, behind the scenes, it is a different atmosphere. According to the (many) rumors and the information revealed in Liberation, the relations within the editorial would not be really good. Has Bangumi, the production box created by Yann Barthes, Laurent and Good, Hugo Clement was not really appreciated : “not to mention a melon that grew in the course of his retweets and “likes” on Instagram”, we read. An oversized ego that would have earned it to be nicknamed “Ego Clement” by his colleagues. Ouch.

And this is not the first time that the reporter is referred to by other journalists. On the 6th of December last, Nassira El Moaddem – editor-in-chief of Bondy Blog, has pointed the finger at the jokes of Hugo Clement while they were both students at the school of journalism’s renowned Lille. According to her, Hugo Clement and his partner Martin Weill would have made him suffer a hoax calls in 2012. The journalist was preparing to be tested for RFI : “I find it hypocritical to pretend to be a model of Tintin reporter for the progressive, for the champion anti-racist defence of the oppressed, then, that this is not the kind of person that I have known, she as well told. It’s funny how we can invent a picture, especially when one is erected in the rising star.”
