LONGUEUIL | shots have been fired in a dancing bar of Longueuil, in the night from Saturday to Sunday, injuring two people.

According to the police Service of the urban agglomeration of Longueuil (SPAL), the event occurred around 2: 45 a.m. when a suspect entered the Cabaret Doric, located on the Taschereau boulevard, where they opened fire.

Two people have been struck by a projectile, either a customer of the institution, aged about thirty years, and an employee at the age of forty years. The two victims were transported to a hospital on the South Shore of Montreal. We aren’t afraid for their lives.

“The evening ended. We heard a noise, like the sound of firecrackers that we buy in the store. I thought it was a joke, but I’m lying on the ground like all the world,” said Anouk Simard, a woman who was in the property at the time of the shooting, in an interview with TVA News.

“The dancers descended to the bottom. I’m down to go pick up my friend. There was blood everywhere. It was not very nice”, she continued.

According to it, the client has had the chance to get on in life. “[The ball] came close to his head, but he is alive. As for the waitress, I saw it pass, holding the arm.”

The author of the shooting has not lingered at the Cabaret. “The suspects fled before the arrival of police, who evacuated the premises and erected a crime scene,” said Marie Beauvais, spokesperson for the SPAL.

An investigation was opened to determine the circumstances surrounding this event. Thirty witnesses were interviewed by investigators from the SPAL.

The Cabaret Doric, is well known to police. In particular, the housing located above the school had been the scene of a double murder when Francis Dupont and his son Francis had been murdered in November 2011.
