AMQUI | Two hunters made their way to a camp in the forest have tried to rescue a female moose that was stuck in the snow.
Patrick Ouellet has published on his page Facebook a video in which we see him trying to pull a female moose stuck in the snow up to the neck. In less than 24 hours, it has already accumulated more than 17 000 views.
He drove his snowmobile into a camp in the forest with a friend, Tuesday, in the corner of Amqui. It was there that they encountered the beast in a nasty position. The two men, who are also hunters, have decided to stop to rescue her. They spent thirty minutes digging around the animal to release it.
First frightened, the moose shouted at their approach finally relaxed.
“I have flattered the top of the head, the back of the ears, below the neck and it seems to reassure her, she stopped “caller “, said Patrick Ouellet.
The beast, however, has never worked to try to get out of his position. Even once released, the animal was not identified.
“It was abnormal that she didn’t help at all. It was the snow on the back, on the top of his head… How long it was that she was here, we don’t know, but it leaves us thinking that it had to be frozen since a nasty bout “, has grieved Mr. Ouellet.
After you have cleared away the moose, the two men have thought that the beast was surely exhausted and after a little rest she resumed her route. Unfortunately, when they returned to site the next day, she was dead.
“We are hunters, but when they kill a moose, we’re going to kill so that he would die on the spot, without suffering. But, she has suffered, that is the bastard “, was saddened by Mr. Ouellet.
