    OTTAWA – The canadian food inspection agency (CFIA) is conducting the recall of a new batch of Eggs corrégone of the brand Imperial Caviar & Seafood, which could have been distributed in Quebec.

    This is the batch 14017-01, best before 29 may 2018, bringing the CUP 1 86866 90027 9, in a format of 50 g. This product could promote the proliferation of the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, according to the Agency.

    The CFIA advises not to consume that food and throw it away or return it to where it was purchased. People who have consumed the product are advised to consult their doctor.

    The food contaminated by the toxin of the bacterium Clostridium botulinum are not necessarily of alteration visible or smell suspicious. The symptoms are: facial palsy or loss of facial expression, the pupils non-reactive or fixed, difficulty swallowing, drooping eyelids, blurred or double vision, difficulty speaking, slurred speech and a change in the sound of the voice, or the hoarse voice.

    The CFIA states that no cases of illness associated with the consumption of this product has been reported to date.
