SENNETERRE | A person stood between life and death while two others were seriously injured after a violent accident on Tuesday afternoon in Senneterre, in Abitibi.
The accident occurred on highway 113 when a car and a vehicle has undergone a frontal collision. A total of four people were in the two vehicles, on the basis of two occupants per car, specified the Sûreté du Québec.
Three of the four victims remained incarcerated in the interiors and had to be rescued by firefighters equipped with jaws of life. Two of these individuals have suffered significant injuries, while the third was in a critical state in the middle of the evening.
A third car ended up involved in the accident when its driver, probably seeking to avoid the collision, went off the road. The two occupants of the car were not injured.
Investigators from the Sûreté du Québec were trying Tuesday evening to determine the cause of this accident, which could be due to an overtake attempt.
