The professionals are calling for a rest load-controlled

It was one of the proposals of the candidate Emmanuel Macron. Today, it is the minister of health, Agnes Buzyn who tries to establish: the rest to zero load for patients for the dental, audioprothèses and opticians. This measure would allow for a refund without having to advance the costs.
But among the professionals of the sector of the hearing aid, we prefer, for the moment, the establishment of a rest load to be controlled. They are expressed in a press release published on the website of the national union of audiologists.

1000 euro per ear cost to the patient

It takes an average of 1525 euros for a hearing aid. The social security supports 164 euros, the mutual, 350 euros. The rest is the responsibility of the patient. The hearing care professional are ready to lower the prices.
To do this, they require not have to follow the opinion of the competition Authority made in December 2016. It is recommended to set two rates, one for hearing and one for the related benefits. What the Unsaf opposes, arguing that for all of the european countries the two benefits are reimbursed together.

A reform costly

In its press release, the Unsaf request a revaluation of the reimbursement by the social security, and an up-regulation of the levels of reimbursement by the mutual companies. They propose that their scheme of reform which, by 2020, would provide all recipients of aid to complementary health (ACS) to be supported, which is already the case for the beneficiaries of universal health coverage.
For other patients, we would have to pay on average 250 euros. This reform in two stages, the first in 2020 and the other in 2020, is expected to cost 400 million euros to the social security.
