American private space company Rocket Lab launched into orbit on a mirror ball like those used in discos, reports Rus.Media. The bullet, which was called “Star of humanity”, was launched along with three small satellites on January 21 from New Zealand.

The companion rotates rapidly and may become the most bright flashing object in the night sky, the company said. “No matter where you are, and what happens to you in life, everyone will be able to see the “Star of humanity” in the night sky,” said Peter Beck, the founder of the company.

The satellite was launched into orbit in 8 minutes and 31 seconds after launch and is now spinning around the earth with a period of 90 minutes. Sputnik should be a “vivid symbol of the vulnerability of mankind in the universe,” the company said.
