THREE-RIVERS – A man of Three-Rivers has caused a major deployment police in the middle of the day Saturday when he barricaded himself in his home after trying to burn down the home of his ex-spouse.

A wide perimeter was then established on the rue Laflamme in Trois-Rivières-area West. Several residents were evacuated as a safety measure. After about two hours of negotiations, the man surrendered himself to the police, around 13: 15.

According to the police of Trois-Rivières, he would have lit a fire in the residence of his former spouse, in the eastern sector of the city. The man then fled to the home of him, in the western sector.

The incident did not hurt. The damage to the residence of the former joint are minimal.
