MAGOG – a Few teenagers have been poisoned by ingesting what they believed to be the xanax in the last few weeks at school second Hive, Magog.
“Last week, I took a Xanax in which there was fentanyl and I fell on the stairs, told a student encountered by TVA News. I decided that for my life, it was better that I stop.”
The officers of the Magog are well aware of this new trend. “We are very worried, because it is a dangerous drug, explained Michael Laroche, spokesperson for the régie de police de Memphrémagog.
Since last week, the police have put the hand in the collar of the five suspects, who could be related to the drug trafficking. Two of them, aged 17 and 18 years old, have been arrested in the last week-end.
Xanax is a drug that slows the central nervous system. It is sold under prescription only. It is prescribed for anxiety and, often, also prescribed as a sedative, therefore, disorders of sleep,” explained the pharmacist Claude Gratton.
