Revoked. The CSA has decided this Wednesday, January 31st, to dismiss Mathieu Gallet of his duties as CEO of Radio France, from the 1st of march next. A decision following the conviction last January 15 of the senior civil servant of 41 years to one year in prison with suspended sentence for ” favoritism “. He was prosecuted for irregularities in the award of public contracts – of the facts, which date back to the time where he was the head of the national audiovisual Institute (INA), between 2010 and 2014. Mathieu Gallet has immediately appealed.
Nothing predestined this gifted with such a thunderclap in his career. The former president of the INA has caught the eye of Frédéric Mitterrand, who has struggled for the name at the head of the institute, when he was 33 years old.
