    Called to comment on the remarks that were deemed homophobic that was held last week André Arthur, the Alliance Arc-en-ciel is now the subject of messages “homophobic” and “hate” on his page Facebook. We were even accused of being responsible for the dismissal of the moderator.

    “On the page of the Alliance, from our position of last week […] the comments homophobic and hate speech are increasing. Leclerc Communication being stingy with details on the reasons for his dismissal, fans of Arthur have returned to the Alliance, seeing the LGBT community+ as responsible for his departure. Followed by a string of homophobic comments, full of prejudices,” said the director-general of the organization, Louis-Filip Tremblay, in a text published on its web site, but also in a chronicle in the morning broadcast of CKIA, Quebec city, wake up!

    Entitled “Dismissal of Arthur: yes, homophobia still exists,” this article denounces several examples of homophobic comments received in response to the events and, according to him, meets it once and for all to the question: “does homophobia still exist?”
