The idea of eternal youth, or at least a longer and healthier life worried about humanity at all stages of the development of civilization, reports Rus.Media. Scientists have always been interested in the possibility of extending human life. They looked in the direction of gene changes.

When we see stories about what genetics experiments on laboratory animals, changing the genome, for example, to slow down the aging of cells, we think that everything is science fiction and the distant future. But, it turns out that fiction has become reality. The Earth has living people with artificially modified genes.

This American girl Elizabeth Parrish, who agreed to the intervention of genetics in order to stop the aging of his body, and, of course, to benefit the world. In fact, she is one of the leaders of the scientific and medical company BioViva to conduct this bold experiment.

To understand the essence of artificial changes, you need to highlight the issue of ageing from the point of view of genetics. The aging process in our DNA, and it begins with the process of reducing the final processes of the chromosomes, called telomeres. The older the biological age of a person, the shorter its telomeres. In the process of cell growth is the division of DNA, which is accompanied by the shortening of telomeres and eventually causes ageing and cell death.

At the end of 2015 Elizabeth Parrish introduced genetic material that, once inside the nucleus of every cell of her body, needed to start the change and help increase telomere length. Thus, according to the researchers, it will stop the aging process happens, the total rejuvenation of the body.
