MONTREAL | The communicator Luc Lavoie has officially launched Tuesday the book, “first line”, at Éditions de l’homme, in which he takes stock of more than four decades of public life.

To the sides of his grandchildren, “which inspired his life,” and to whom the book is dedicated, Luc Lavoie has entrusted to you in front of a room packed full that this book allowed them to remember the actions and lives of their grand-father. “When they are going to be bigger, they will know is that their grandpa”, he confided in an interview with the QMI Agency.

Luc Lavoie said he is “very proud” on Tuesday of this work that he wrote with his “best friend”, Serge Rivest, which is according to him “the most beautiful feather of Quebec”.

After a career of more than 40 years, the communication specialist and political analyst, recalls his memories in a book of over 300 pages, in which he looks back on his career, his challenges and his special relationship with several political and public figures, in the first rank of which the ex-canadian prime minister Brian Mulroney.

It was he who wrote the book, he ends with these few qualifiers to the address of the person who was his deputy chief of staff and spokesperson: “courage, tenacity, wisdom and backbone of steel.”

Traveling during the launch, Mr. Mulroney was required to record a video message in which he praised the loyalty of his friend, “a collaborator extraordinary”, predicting that the book would sell like “hot cakes”.

For his part, the head of Quebecor, Pierre Karl Péladeau, has praised during his speech the exceptional communicator, with which he has worked for many years. Of this successful collaboration, Mr. Péladeau has selected two qualifiers : “honesty and authenticity”.

For this launch, many public figures have made the trip to the headquarters of Quebecor, including his friends Marc Off, and Pierre de Bané, of which it is extensively discussed in the book.

Her years in journalism, in political life alongside Brian Mulroney; of his experiences in crisis management in the private sector, in its collaboration with Quebecor, as well as issuing “The Joust”, LCN, Luc Lavoie tells his or her experiences, but also his impressions on his meetings.

“In the first line – The atypical course of a communicator” is available in bookstores as early as Wednesday.
