A man of 30 years was arrested at Laval, on the 30th of January last, and then accused of possession and distribution of child pornography.

Felix Fortier-Dupire has appeared at the palais de justice de Montréal, January 31, to face charges of possession and distribution of child pornography as well as possession of narcotics.

He had been arrested the old by the investigations Team on the sexual exploitation of children on the internet (IBCSE) of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

The police have also conducted searches at Mont St-Hilaire and Montreal, where computer equipment was seized for analysis.

IBCSE, which brings together investigators from the SQ and the royal Canadian mounted police (RCMP), led to the arrest of nearly 500 suspects since the implementation of the provincial strategy in the fight against the sexual exploitation of children, in 2012.
