The parliamentary leader of the official opposition, Pascal Bérubé, has imagined the reaction of the boss of the Unité permanente anticorruption (UPAC), Robert Lafrenière, when the national Assembly passed bill 107, Wednesday, making the police independent.

“I’ll take a 6/49” – Robert Lafrenière, has written to the mp of the parti québecois Pascal Bérubé on Twitter, assuming the reaction of the officer on the police force.

Without calling for his resignation, the leader of the Parti québécois (PQ), Jean-François Lisée, said, earlier in the day, that, if his party were to take power, it would end the contract of Mr. Lafrenière, head of UPAC.

The PQ and the other opposition parties voted against bill 107.
