The minister of Health Gaétan Barrette announced on Thursday afternoon that a parent will soon be able to accompany his child on board the plane-government hospital.

Québec will then analyse the feasibility to make changes to the other Challenger used as air-ambulance, which may not in the moment to accommodate a companion. If this avenue is chosen, the device may, however, remain nailed to the ground for 12 months.

Aboriginal leaders and doctors had recently launched an appeal to the minister Barrette to the province to change its ways of doing business. A petition had also been set on foot.
