MONTREAL | The 15th Guignolée du Dr Julien, which ended this week, has raised 1 744 000 $ for children and families from vulnerable backgrounds.

These funds will be distributed to the three centres of expertise of the Fondation du Dr Julien, the CPSC Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, the CPSC Côte-des-Neiges and Garage music.

“I am extremely touched by the unwavering support of the community and the very great generosity of all the donors, said Dr. Gilles Julien, Saturday by way of a press release. It is a testimony of support and extraordinary support, but also crucial to continue our work with children.”

The amount raised represents about 45 % of the costs of services provided free of charge by the centres of expertise of the Fondation du Dr Julien.

In addition, 696 673 $ have been collected by other centers of community social pediatrics, certified by the Fondation du Dr Julien, who held their own food drive on December 16, last.

The donations will be used by these centres to provide care and professional services to the children in a situation of great vulnerability in the communities where they are located.
