A body found in the Ottawa river

    GATINEAU – The marine patrol of the police Service of Gatineau (SPVG) has recovered the body of a man from the Ottawa river, Wednesday afternoon. It has been identified as Dave Lanteigne missing since Sunday.

    It is around 16 p.m. Wednesday, a call is received by the SPVG by boaters who spotted a body floating on the Ottawa river near the Alexandra bridge.

    The body was sent to Montreal, in order that a coroner may perform an autopsy.

    The young man had been seen around 3: 30 a.m., on the 9th of July last, in the sector of the Vieux-Hull in Pizza Italy. Diabetic, he did not have his medication with him at the time of his disappearance.
