A major electrical power failure affects the centre of the city of Montreal, several shops and offices are currently immersed in the black.

The failure is the result of a problem at the post Dorchester.
9000 affected customers in the downtown Montreal because of a problem at the post Dorchester. Our teams are on site in order to identify the cause.

“Our teams are on site in order to identify the cause,” said the State-owned company on Twitter.
The outage has no impact on the public transport.
Several emergency services, firefighters and police officers, are on site.
The activities at the palais de justice de Montréal has been interrupted for a few minutes because of the outage.
It was brief, the current is returned to the palais de justice of Montreal. And then there was light!
