A man in his sixties has died of serious injuries sustained Wednesday afternoon in the wake of a sheer mountain BIKING on the reserve Rimouski.

The ATV drivers were running near the lake Rimouski when one of them departed from the group, according to police. They have brushed up the path and found the victim lying on the ground, lifeless.

According to the first elements of the investigation, he would have lost control of her vehicle and would have completed his race in a ditch.

The drivers would then be returned to the docking station of the lac Rimouski to dial 911 at 13: 22.

Rescuers arrived in the middle of the afternoon.

The isolation of the place has made the complex operation for the paramedics, firefighters and police officers who intervened Wednesday afternoon in the area of the lake to Rimouski, which is located about forty kilometres south-west of the main entrance of the wildlife reserve which is located in Saint-Narcisse de Rimouski.

There is no cell-signal in the network, this has made the situation complex for the friends of the victim as well as to emergency units.

The lac Rimouski is located about ten kilometers from the border with New Brunswick.
