MONTREAL – A man is in critical condition after a fall of four floors, in the night of Sunday to Monday, in the bottom of the terrace of the bar Complex Sky located in the borough of Ville-Marie.
The accident happened around 1 a.m. at the corner of rue Sainte-Catherine and Alexandre-de-Seve. The victim, a 29-year old man, was unconscious at the arrival of police and paramedics.
According to information collected from witnesses by the police, the man who was on the terrace of the bar would have used the outdoor stairs to climb on the roof of the adjacent building. He would have lost his footing and fell four floors.
He was transported to a hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
“The victim was an american tourist from California,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
A wide security perimeter has been erected to enable investigators to examine the scene.
