OTTAWA – A 40 year old man, resident of Ottawa, is facing charges of possessing and making available child pornography.

Christopher Jones appeared Monday afternoon in front of the courts.

In mid-January, 2018, the Unity of the sexual exploitation of children on the Internet of the Ottawa Police was contacted by a local dealer who had just found a cell phone containing images of child pornography.

A police investigation and a forensic analysis of the device revealed the presence of “several hundred images of child pornography,” said police in a press release.

The authorities say that anyone with information on this case can contact the Unit at 613-236-1222, ext 5660 or download the free app of the Ottawa police.
