A fisherman from the Saguenay may well have put the hand on the record for the biggest fish caught in the waters of the fjord, and brought out the halibut’s monster 5.5-feet, weighing 150 to 175 pounds.
The photos of the taken miraculous have been published on the page Facebook of the Accomodation of the 21 Bay Thursday morning. The author of one of the photos, Michel Tremblay, indicates the need of three fishing buddies to return the fish to the water after 2: 30 a.m. fighting to get it out of the water.
Remember that it is prohibited to fish this type of fish and that in the event of incidental taking, as this seems to be the case here, the trophy must be returned to the water immediately.
According to what we read on the page of the Accomodation of 21, it would be probably the biggest fish caught in the fjord since another halibut of 150 pounds, was taken two years ago.
