A musician folk bailer to 18 months in prison for child pornography

One of the founding members of the folk group Les Batinses has been sentenced to a term of imprisonment of 18 months for child luring, gaining access to child pornography and for having made available to young people under the age of thirteen.

It is equipped with a small backpack that François Morrissette was presented at the palais de justice, there to receive his award.
In 2014 and 2015, the 54 year old man had created a fake profile in Facebook under the fictitious name of “Kevin Matte” for use on social networks and lure his young victims.
On the page created by the man in his fifties, there was the photo of a young boy about 15 years old, lying on a bed, and another where the young teenager lifted up his shirt to show his belly.
With this profile, Morrissette leurrait of young girls “in order to maintain conversations and to obtain images of a sexual nature”.
“He sent pictures of his penis and took pictures of the girls in the back”, a brief summary of the prosecutor, Me Valérie Lahaie. In total, Morissette has committed ten-nine lures.
Following a search of twenty-four files of child pornography were also found in the computer of the man who, according to the specialists, “an immature sexual as well as a deviance and an attraction to teenage girls aged between 9 and 14 years”.
To get out of detention, Morrissette will have to submit to a probation period of three years with a follow-up for the same time period, and it will be registered to the sex offender registry for life.
Before leaving for the detention, Morrissette took the floor to speak to young teenage girls lured away. “I would like to apologize to the victims and their families”.
