The students of a private school in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse on the south shore of Québec will no longer have classes on Friday afternoon.

The College Dina-Belanger, which has a capacity of 310 students, is going to change the class timetable commencing in the month of September next. A change welcomed very positively by high school students and parents.

The idea was submitted at a meeting teaching, while the management was looking for initiatives to increase academic motivation.

The schedule will be redesigned so as to not lose instructional time. Courses from Monday to Thursday, will begin seven minutes earlier and end five minutes later.

Students are to avail themselves of this leave class each Friday to study, work team or practice a sport activity.
