Eastern Québec has not finished with the snow as another storm is expected to hit the Gaspésie and the Côte-Nord region as of Tuesday evening. The storm, which is expected to be felt until Thursday, there would be around thirty centimetres of snow.
“This should be a good storm, which is similar to the two that we have had recently in the Gaspé peninsula and that are occurring at once,” says the Environment Canada meteorologist Julie Deshaies.
On the eve of the spring, it is “common” to witness such episodes, according to the meteorologist. The air heats up in the south, combined with the colder temperatures in the north led to the “swift formation” of this type of weather system.
The regions of Montréal and Québec city are forecast to be just less than ten centimeters each from Tuesday to Wednesday.
Comfortable temperatures
Spring temperatures will take place in the next few days. Mercury should be just above the freezing point during the day, and then it should fall to below 0 for the night.
“It should continue so for the next two weeks,” says Ms. Deshaies.
