The superior Court ordered, on Thursday morning, Alexander Bissonnette, who was accused of the murder of six members of the muslim community and multiple counts of attempted murder, is brought to the palace of justice on the 27th October.

In the last passage Bissonnette in court, the prosecutor for criminal and penal prosecutions, Mr. Thomas Jacques, had filed ” an act of direct accusation “, returning automatically Bissonnette to trial before a judge and jury.
By doing this, the stage of the preliminary investigation had not been completed.
Pre-hearing conference
In a brief decision, the superior Court ruled that lawyers were to however bend to a pre-hearing conference management.
It thus ordered the holding of this conference, but also that the accused be brought to the detention centre to be present at this step.
The conference is intended primarily to ensure that the issues are clear to both parties, and it also allows you to see if certain items may be admitted to one side or the other to move the debate forward smoothly.

Recall that, now, Alexandre Bissonnette is facing 12 counts : six of first-degree murder, five of attempted murder using a restricted weapon in respect of all direct victims, and one count of attempted murder in respect of 35 persons who, without being affected physically, the have been psychologically, since they were present in the mosque of Quebec on the evening of 29 January.
