MONTMAGNY – A woman was seriously injured Saturday, shortly after noon, on highway 20 East, Montmagny, after the motorcycle on which she was with a man had made an exit from the road.
According to the officer Audrey-Anne Bilodeau of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the accident occurred at kilometer 378. The motorcycle, which was dragging a trailer, began to zigzag before you leave the fast track.
“The patrol officers have observed a puncture on the motorcycle, which would have possibly resulted in the loss of control,” said Ms. Bilodeau.
“The man has not suffered any visible injuries, but was taken preventively to the Hotel-Dieu de Lévis, she continued. For the woman, who is injured more seriously, it was transported to the Hospital of the Child Jesus” in Quebec city.
In the early afternoon, the police was not able to confirm neither the age of the two riders or their place of residence.
The accident caused a slowdown in this sector of the Bas-Saint-Laurent, the right lane of highway 20 eastbound was closed to traffic to allow investigators in a collision to initiate the analysis of the scene.
