Rick Modi, 24 years old, will have to comply with many conditions that have been imposed at the palais de justice de Longueuil.

During the proceedings, the accused will reside with his parents, in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

It will be prohibited to be located within the boundaries of the city of Saint-Constant and it will have to be present twice a week in a police station in Montréal.

Modi was to submit his passport and his driving licence to the court.

    $10,000 commitment

The 24-year old man has also had to deposit an amount of 5000$ as security. His uncle and his father are also committed to give$ 2500 each if the accused does not comply with its conditions.

The judge Joey Dubois has also asked the accused if he understood his conditions of release. “If you break, you will be taken back in prison,” said the magistrate. The young man stated that he was well informed.

Rick Modi was accused yesterday of hit-and-run that resulted in the death of Dominique Wenga, in a residential area of Saint-Constant, last may.

The boy of 2 years has been snapped up just in front of the family residence.

    The game of hockey

The at-fault driver left the scene after the impact, without assistance for the child critically injured. He has made the soul in the arms of his mother, shortly after.

The Journal revealed earlier this week that Rick Modi would have gone to play a hockey game after having lured the small Dominique Wenga.

It has been questioned by the police at his back on the scene. The defendant resides on the same street as the victim.
