Accused of terrorism, a Toronto refuses to go to a court appearance

TORONTO | A woman from Toronto who is facing several terror-related charges has refused to appear before the court.

Rehab Dughmosh, who presents himself as a supporter of the armed group islamic State (EI), would have told correctional officers that she did not want to leave his cell, according to what reported on Friday the “Toronto Sun”, citing course materials.

The judge Kimberley Crosbie has had to issue a warrant for the accused to return to court on 15 August.

Dughmosh has already stated in the past that she did not believe in the canadian justice system. By the voice of an interpreter, she said she does recognize that the shari’a, that she wanted to revoke his canadian citizenship and that she would try “again and again” to attack innocent people if she was released.

Last June, the 32-year old woman would be presented in a Canadian Tire store wearing a niqab and a headband in the colors of the ARS. On the spot, it would have threatened, and attacked employees with a golf club and a knife. She had finally been brought under control by the officers and employees. One of them had been slightly injured during the events.

At the beginning of the month, she was again arrested on his arrival in court by the royal Canadian mounted police (RCMP) to have left Canada on 24 April 2016 for the purpose of committing a terrorist act.

Dughmosh is facing 21 charges, including 14 counts under the anti-terrorism laws of Canada. None of the allegations have been tested in the courts.
