TORONTO | The Toronto police investigation into allegations of sexual assault involving a former doctor of the ontario division of the RCMP.
The assault would have been committed against recruits in medical examinations between 1980 and 1990, reports the channel CP24.
These allegations surfaced when, last week, the Halifax regional police had opened an investigation into allegations of sexual assault aimed at a doctor of the RCMP in Nova Scotia, now retired.
The police in Halifax had indicated that they had received more than 20 complaints for acts which were allegedly committed between 1981 and 2003.
No charges have yet been brought and it has not revealed the identity of none of the physicians referred to.
The RCMP encourages anyone with information regarding this case to contact the unit of the sex crimes of the Toronto police service.
