Allergies: products ready-to-eat mislabeled at IGA

    MONTREAL – A warning to many meat products, sold in two establishments IGA Market Troppetta in Montreal, has been issued due to the presence of undeclared sesame seeds, wheat and tree nuts.

    The affected products have been sold up to February 26, inclusive, in the institutions in IGA’s market Toppetta, located at 3964 rue Notre-Dame West as well as the 960, chemin Herron, Dorval.

    It is:

    “Pork cutlet – Pork scaloppini milanese” (CUP 260842702733)

    “Hamburger Steak” (CUP 260830602274)

    “Chicken Parmigiana” (CUP 261293202391).

    People who suffer from an allergy to sesame seeds, to wheat or to nuts, or a disease induced by gluten should not consume the above products and can return them to the establishment where they purchased them.

    The ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food pointed out that this warning is released “as a precaution” and that no cases of illness associated with the consumption of these foods has not been reported until now.
