An accident involving five vehicles occurred at the entrance of the bridge-tunnel Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine, in the direction of the South Shore, cause a traffic jam of nearly 11 km.
The accident occurred at about 7: 15. Only one lane is open southbound, creating a slowdown until the exit Bombardier, 11 kilometres away. The effects are also felt on the highway 40 direction west and east.
Paramedics, firefighters and police officers were dispatched to the scene of the accident.
