NASA employees are informed that the Earth is rushing an asteroid the size of Buckingham Palace. Cosmic body was spotted by experts in 2017 and was named VR12, reports Rus.Media.

According to employees of the American Agency NASA, the asteroid will approach Earth at the closest distance of the seventh of March. VR12 width is 470 meters, and the area is 55 hectares. These dimensions compared to Buckingham Palace and gardens, which are adjacent to it. The speed of the cosmic body can reach twenty kilometers per second.

NASA said the trajectory of the asteroid poses no danger to our planet. If VR12 collided with the Ground, the moment would have destroyed a large city and millions of citizens.
