The year 2018 begins badly for Anthony Kavanagh. The victim of a pulmonary embolism that occurred while it continued whilst the performances of his show entitled “Showman, he was once Anthony Kavanagh” in New Caledonia, the comedian was forced to cancel several dates. A real blow for this father of two children. And unfortunately, this is not finished… The show planned at the palais Nikaïa in Nice on Friday 19th January has been cancelled. The comedian is apparently not fully recovered from her operation : “at the request of the doctor, and despite all the will of Anthony, his physical condition does not allow him to return to the path of the tour, forcing them to postpone all the performances in France during the month of January”, one can read in the press release sent out by his team.

Last December, Anthony Kavanagh – hospitalized in New Caledonia until his health would allow him to travel to France – had yet attempted to reassure his fans : “I want to thank all my fans for the kindness of their message. You are adorable. Really thank you so much for your compassion. I come back even stronger, keep your tickets, see you in a few weeks promised, ” he wrote on the account Facebook of the production. For his part, his press officer, Sylvie Savard also gave reassuring news : “He is in good hands “. It is therefore only a matter of time before the comedian goes on stage.
