Almost 7,000 women were at war on Donbass. This was reported in the APU.

In one of the meetings in Kiev, the representatives of the General staff of the Ukrainian army reported that about seven thousand women took part in the ATO, received the status of combatants, is only 3% of the personnel. During the war on the territory of Donbass more than hundreds of Ukrainian women have received state awards, four of them posthumously.

In the last year for the service contract in the APU received more than 300 citizens of Ukraine, currently in the army serve more than 24,000 women, 3000 of whom are officers. Another 31 000 women are the civil service in the armed forces of the state. In total, the APU serve 56 thousand women, which is slightly more than 22% of all personnel. For example, in some European countries, these data are much lower.
