“He says he comes to relax in the countryside, to take care of his earth and of his sugar shack. Mr. Langlois has been coming here as early retirement, ” wrote a sergeant in the Sûreté du Québec who had questioned Michel Langlois, Saint-André-Avellin, January 30, 2007.

    Purge of Lennoxville

On July 3, 1985, Michel Langlois also had a small smile while arriving at the courthouse in Joliette, despite the chains and handcuffs that he had attached to the wrists and ankles.

He had been arrested the day before, at Montreal, on the day of his 39th birthday, in relation to the famous slaughter of Lennoxville. On the 24th of march last, five Hells of the deceased chapter North were shot in the bunker of the gang, in Lennoxville. The bodies were put in sleeping bags filled with cement and thrown in the river.

Langlois, one of the 39 accused in the case, was finally released pending his trial. He took the opportunity to orchestrate two bursts.

At the Salon of the motorcycle

On February 22, 1986, the police arrived in mass at the Palais des congrès of Montreal where it was stood for a few days the Living room of the motorcycle.

The Hells Angels were displayed without embarrassment with their “patches” during this public event. Langlois had rented spaces, covering seven kiosks.

They had deployed a white banner on which one could read in large red letters : Hells Angels The Big Red Machine. No one had dared to challenge their presence, brought our colleague from the Newspaper, Michel Auger.

Langlois was not appreciated that the media describe as the “national president” of the Hells.

“This is a falsehood started by a cursed liar,” he told the Newspaper, aiming for Yves “Apache” Trudeau, the killer of Hells became informer after the massacre in Lennoxville.

“Apache” has told the SQ that Langlois had taken over from Yves “Boss” Buteau at the head of the gang when the latter was assassinated in 1983 by a relative of the Outlaws, a rival gang the Hells were then driven out of Quebec.

According to a report from the SQ, ” Sky “was the canadian head of the Hells and the biker” most popular “.

Langlois had a belt with the effigy of the Hells upon which his nickname was written.

But the February 22, 1986, when the police arrived at the Palais des congrès to bring him back in detention, Langlois had already spun into soft, took a plane and left the country.

This is only after two years on the run abroad, on the 13th of April 1988, which he gave to the police. The next day he admitted that it was guilty of complicity in the internal purge of 1985, scooping two years in prison.

    For the war

On July 15, 1994, Langlois and all his “brothers” of quebecers were summoned urgently to a ” mass “, after the attacks of the Rock Machine and their allies who refused to let dislodge of the drug market by the Hells.

At this meeting, according to the informer Sylvain Boulanger, two of the bikers more openly favourable to the outbreak of war were the new leader of the Hells, Maurice ” Mom “Boucher, and” Sky ” Langlois.

In the midst of this war, which has left more than 160 people dead, Langlois and other Hells have left the Montreal chapter to go to found the new section South, on the South Shore, on march 1, 1997. And a year and a half later, he was back behind bars.

Langlois received a gold chain bearing a medallion with the effigy of the Hells in 1997 in recognition of his 20 years as a member of the gang.

On January 14, 1998, one of his accomplices was presented at the Lacolle border crossing with 178 kilos of white powder hidden in the walls of his trailer. The police were waiting for him, as a mole who had infiltrated the network to their account had trapped Langlois and knew that the so-called tourist was gone to get drugs in Mexico.

“Sky” has quickly recognized his guilt, scooping of five years in prison and $ 22,000 in fines.

    Stash of ” cash “

Between 2007 and 2009, despite his ” retirement “, Langlois continued to represent the Hells of Quebec abroad, attending gatherings of bikers, Portugal, South Africa and the dominican Republic.

But on April 15, 2009, ” Sky ” was arrested in operation SharQc. He was dragging her contacts book in a pocket of his pants : the 47 pages of handwritten notes containing names and numbers of Hells quebec, as well as addresses of bikers in Western canada and Texas.

The police also found 33 500 $ are hidden inside of a cache arranged in a cabinet in his bathroom.

“The way to store such an amount is not compatible with someone who describes himself today as acériculteur “, said judge James Brunton, refusing to give provisional release, 26 November 2010.

Langlois was eventually convicted of conspiracy to murder. He was released from prison in September 2015.

    Other searches

Last December, the Hells have celebrated their 40 years and paid tribute to their dean. On the chapter’s web site South, the Hells now sell maple syrup among their promotional items, $ 12 the bottle. This is possibly the syrup of its founder, believes the police.

But this is not for that sweet tooth that it has carried out a search warrant at the maple grove for Langlois and at his residence, on the 23rd of February last.

The Squad’s national crackdown on organized crime has searched the two places because ” Sky ” is among influential bikers suspected in the project survey Objection which applies to a large network of drug traffickers.

The Hells Angel as the older of the province is accused of anything to date. It is unclear whether he smiled to the police officers in the welcoming.
