DRUMMONDVILLE – The next federal election will take place in a little over a year, but the activists of the Bloc québécois are gathered in a general council Saturday in Drummondville, in the Centre-du-Québec, in order to prepare the ground and to adopt the budget of the party, which includes the salary of the controversial leader Martine Ouellet.

If the proposal is accepted by the delegates, his salary will oscillate around 100 000 $, and it will also address a transition allowance at the end of his mandate in the national Assembly.

The vote is expected to take place in the afternoon.

When asking the question to the camera, all the activists interviewed by TVA Nouvelles in support of the chief and hope that it will succeed in convincing the delegates to adopt the budget.

“It doesn’t seem to tickle big world,” observes the deputy bloquiste Bécancour-Nicolet-Saurel, Louis Plamondon.
