Cascades to build a new plant in New Jersey

    Cascades announced on Thursday the construction of a new factory carton packing-crate Piscataway, New Jersey.

    The company in Kingsey Falls, Centre-du-Québec will spend $ 80 million USD for the manufacture of cardboard packaging modulated. It will create 120 jobs.

    “The factory of conversion of Piscataway will be with equipment on the cutting edge of technology and among the fastest in the industry. Located in close proximity to major urban centers of the East coast of the u.s., the site was also chosen for its ability to accommodate subsequent development. This significant investment allows us to strengthen our position and continue growth,” said Charles Malo, president and chief operating officer of Cascades cardboard Packing-case release.

    These facilities of 400,000 square feet expected to be operational in the second quarter of 2018. Its annual production capacity for a total of 2.4 billion square feet.

    This investment was previously included in the budget of capital of Waterfalls.
